Well, we knew we’d have good news about science to share in our next issue: we just couldn’t necessarily say what that might be or when we would hear. So we prepped a cover story about the future of science education; commissioned a think-piece from one of our alums now at Harvard/MIT’s Broad Institute; videotaped an interview with another alum now teaching molecular biology at Harvard … and held our breath.
Today, the college announced
- the go-ahead (beginning next month!) for construction of our new science center
And, since our last issue mailed, we have been able to announce:
- a new partnership that will bring post-graduate medical education to our campus
- A $7.4 million package, part of a state workforce development initiative, that will go in part to support that program
All in nice time for our Spring 2013 issue. It’s going to be a good one! We don’t mind making a few tweaks along the way, when news as good as this breaks.
