Welcome to Grace Schmitt ’13, who has joined our student intern team this summer. Grace jumped in feet first: She arrived as we were simultaneously laying out our Summer 2012 issue and beginning the writing work for our redesigned website. I took this photo this morning as she waas taking one last look at the printer proofs for Summer 2012, on press this afternoon.
The new web site launches in August and 450 pages need to be written well before that date, so also helping out is Rachel Gintner ’14. Rachel is “coming in early” for this opportunity – coming in early with a vengeance, actually. She studies abroad in Prague this fall semester, so is not actually due to begin her internship until January. But she is on campus this summer doing research for her McNair scholarship, so we are the lucky beneficiaries of any hours she can spare us.
Grace and Rachel are both English majors who have previous working experience both as tutors in the Writing Center and editors on the English honor society national publications that are headquartered on our campus. They are both eagle-eyed purists and between the two of them, they are keeping us on our toes – good thing!.
