Background: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released in 2007 by Infinity Ward studios for as the 4th main title in the COD franchise. The game was notable for being the first in the series to deviate away from a WW2 based setting and instead taking place during present day.
Plot: The story follows a squad of special operative soldiers as they try and take down a powerful leader of a terrorist group.
Bechdel Test: This game fails the Bechdel test. In fact, there the only appearance of a female character is a single helicopter pilot during one of the games missions. Interestingly, when the game was remastered in 2016 the developers added female soldiers to the multiplayer as an option to play as. This descion faced backlash from a loud vocal minority.
