In this episode, we see the jealousy of Lucifer swelling. Chloe and Pierce are getting closer while Lucifer is forced to watch based on his previous actions. To think he and Pierce might have become friends, how absurd! The case of this episode follows a copycat killer who kills cheating spouses. After much brainstorming, the team realizes that the victims had all tuned into a certain TV show that tests cheaters by offering free chocolates. Once more, Lucifer attaches his troubles to the case by posing as the spouse getting cheated on, with Chloe and Pierce on the show as the cheating spouses. So fitting, isn’t it? The episode comes to an end with an awkward talk between Chloe and Pierce, which ends with them getting gassed by the killer. He comes in to kill them but gets intercepted by Lucifer and Dan, who had been listening in on the interaction. At the end of the episode, we find Lucifer knocking on Chloe’s door, ready to explain himself and his actions. After a brief conversation, they are good again… after Luci leaves, however, she’s on the phone with Pierce setting up another date.

We love to see maturity and personal growth! Lucifer really went out of his comfort zone when he realized that he was wrong and that he can’t change who Chloe wants. I’m sure it took a lot for him to come to that realization; while he might not be happy with it, he accepts it, and that’s what matters. We see Lucifer stepping out of his comfort zone in this episode and doing things that could actually be good for him in the long run. To be a man, for Lucifer, is to realize when he is wrong and work on his behavior. Amazing!
