This episode has a lot to deal with femininity and how it might work for Rory in the future. There is a fight that happens between Rory and her boyfriend, however it is resolved quickly.

Feminine Traits:

  • Sensitive to others needs – wanting to calm her mom down, in a funny way, when she decides to spend the night away from her mom
  • Affectionate – once again to her boyfriend whenever she sees him
  • Feminine – wanting to stick up for her own needs in the situation of sticking up for women’s rights
  • Soft-spoken – when she is upset with Dean she does not go off she keeps to herself and trying to not make a scene out of it
  • Gentle – when she is house sitting and watching the new kitten she is very gentle towards the cat
  • Eager to soothe hurt feelings – wanting to call and figure things out with Dean later on in the night
    • Sets up a romantic night for her and her boyfriend even after the fight

Masculine Traits:

  • Willing to take a stand – when her boyfriend, Dean, makes a comment towards women she gets defensive towards the scenario

Overall, Rory is very feminine in this episode again. I feel as though this episode is the most feminine she has been throughout the episodes given the topic of women and their roles.
