This episode passes the Bechdel test. For background knowledge, Skyler’s sister Marie purchased a white gold baby tiara as a gift for Skyler’s baby shower. Skyler goes to return the crown at the store, and she is detained, and they think she is stealing it because she matched the description of the thief, her sister. After trying to track down and talk to her sister at many places, including Marie’s work, Skyler finally finds her at another store and approaches her sister about the incident. At no point are any men brought up in conversation, Skyler just tells Marie countless times how humiliated she was when she was accused of being the thief of the tiara. In this episode, Skyler also breaks the feminine stereotypes of being more quiet and reserved, as she is very assertive in telling her sister how she was feeling and why she was so humiliated. Normally, Skyler is more reserved and kind when speaking to her sister, but she was very mad and seemed dominant another masculine trait.
