This episode was all about Rory’s first kiss that she had with the boy that she has a crush on. It was a very fun episode to see how excited she was for this event to occur.
Feminine Traits:
- Shy – she got very shy after the boy first kissed her and ran away. This was also seen when the boy came to her house for a movie night. She was very reserved and nervous for the event.
- Cheerful – when Rory talked to her mom and her friend about the kiss she was very excited and cheerful that she finally kissed the boy that she had a crush on.
- Nervous – she was very nervous for the boy to come over and this was seen when she was getting ready for the event.
Masculine Traits:
- Food – this one came back as there was a large spread of food during the movie night. The boy even made a comment saying that she had a large appetite and that he liked that. This is not something that female characters are normally portrayed as doing.
- Assertive/Forceful – she was very upset at first when she found out that her mom had invited the boy over to their house.
Overall, in this episode I feel that Rory is once again feminine. While she has moments that may be more masculine based I feel that when looking at the total picture of Rory Gilmore she is feminine. She has been showing viewers the feminine side of her within the past few episodes.
