In this post I will be explaining the Sex Role Traits of Cheryl Bloosm one of the Main Character in the teen Drama Riverdale using the Items of the Bem Sex Role Inventory.

 

Cheryl Bloosm  is one of the main character in the show Riverdale. Throughout her time on the 4 seasons we have seen her develop as the rich daughter of the town local maple syrup distributer to the loving and caring Serpent gang member who is always there for her friends. For all she has been put through with her father and the tragedies that strike Riverdale she has some very strong traits that I’m excited to uncover.

Feminine

Cheerful- She is the captain of the cheer team for the Riverdale Vixens and she is the person throughout the show who has been through the most and is still showing signs of positivity.

 

Feminine- She is always dressed in red which is a feminine color and always has makeup and perfectly curled hair. Her appearance is everything when it comes to her bright red lips.

 

Loyal- She is very loyal to those who she loves and those who love her. She is loyal at first to her brother Jason and then her girlfriend Toni Topaz. She is a Southside Serpent and she is there prime protector in times of violence with her bow and arrow.

 

Masculine 

Self-Reliant- Cheryl is someone who is always let on her own besides her friends. She run her own company with Veronica Lodge in the aspect of selling Maple-Rum.

 

Leadership- She is the Captain of the Cheerleading team and she is also someone who is always at the front of an idea, event and the party. She liked to be the leader of everything including a lot of the school plays and events.

 

Willing to take a stand- She takes a stand against her mother and the rest of her family in that after her father and brother die the aunts, uncles and cousins think that she is not capable of running the business and she proves them wrong. She also is someone who if her friends need her to take a stand she is right there next to them.

 

In Conclusion Cheryl is more masculine than feminine she is in charge of her own life and that she is going to do what she wants when she wants it and she doesn’t need anyones advice or permission.
