Examples of Masculine Personality Traits Exhibited by Macy Vaughn:

  • Analytical: Macy gets a blood sample from Galvin after people come into the Hilltowne Hospital exhibiting signs of the demonic Harbinger virus, and is able to confirm that it is the one and the same.
  • Willing to take risks: Macy wants to use her powers to try and reach the Harbinger.
  • Willing to take a stand/leadership ability: After losing Galvin as he sacrificed his life to save the people infected with the Harbinger Virus, Macy then takes on the Source of All Evil to save Maggie from Alistair, and avert the apocalypse.
  • Forceful: After becoming the Source, Macy has the power to teleport herself and others, wipe minds, and even resurrect people from death, which she does with Galvin.

Examples of Feminine Personality Traits Exhibited by Macy Vaughn:

  • Yielding: Macy lets Galvin assist her into trying to control the virus and cure the people infected through a Yoruba witchcraft ritual, and they have a heartfelt conversation about the future.

Conclusion: Macy spent most of the episode sidelined with Galvin, as Mel, Maggie, and Harry took on the more active storylines, to perhaps surprise people with Macy’s choice of taking on the Source herself later on in the episode. As Macy loses Galvin, and then chooses to bring him back to life without consulting her sisters or Harry, it is clear that the finale episode is going to really dive into Source!Macy and her psyche, a perfect ending to this project.
