Examples of Masculine Personality Traits Exhibited by Macy Vaughn:

  • Aggressive: At the beginning of the episode, Macy becomes cold and harsh towards her sisters, even going so far as to order them around and demean their magical abilities. After doing so, her demonic eyes flash again, causing her sisters to worry about Macy’s health as she continues to use Elder Bari’s needle for her Evil Sight.
  • Willing to take risks/analytical: Macy combines her powers of demonic translation and the Evil Sight to make herself into a “living voodoo doll.” By doing so, she can strip Fiona of her immortality before she can do any more damage to the magical world.
  • Forceful: Macy’s telekinetic powers are also becoming stronger, as she shoves both Harry and Mel away from her into walls, and can use them defensively against Hunter in a fight.

Examples of Feminine Personality Traits Exhibited by Macy Vaughn:

  • Eager to soothe hurt feelings: After shoving Mel with her telekinesis and having another demonic episode in the process, Macy profusely apologizes to her. She then breaks the needle that accesses her Evil Sight, and tells her sisters she loves them both.
  • Yielding: Macy and Mel have a chat at the end of the episode about what they both admire about each other.

Conclusion: As I suspected, this episode featured Macy giving in further to her demonic side as she continued to use her Evil Sight to aid in their quest to stop Fiona from bringing on the magical apocalypse. However, this episode also brought further development in the Macy/Mel relationship, which has been sorely lacking in comparison to the Macy/Maggie or the Maggie/Mel relationship, and I’m glad the two had a conversation, just the two of them. Though Macy broke the needle that accesses her Evil Sight, it is clear that her demonic powers are evolving quickly, and Macy will need both of her sisters on her side as this plotline continues.
