In this episode of New Girl it is Valentine’s Day and Jess persuades Schmidt to be her wingman as she tries to find someone to have a one night stand with. At the end of the episode it shows breaking stereotypes because the guy Jesse chooses to go home with starts breaking down and crying about how he misses his ex girlfriend. By the male crying over hooking up with Jesse is breaking stereotypes of boys not being allowed to have feelings and be vulnerable. This also shows breaking stereotypes because Jesse is breaking the stereotype of female traits of being emotional and needing a connection.
