Background: The Witcher is a game that released in 2007 and was created by Polish video game developer CD Project Red. The Witcher game was based off of the popular book series of the same name.
Plot: The Witcher is about a genetically altered monster hunter, or Witcher, named Geralt who wakes up with amnesia. Geralt is soon thrust into a quest to retrieve the serum that gives the Witchers their enhancements after it is stolen. Geralt finds himself torn between conflicts between opposing factions.
Bechdel Test: The Witcher does not pass the Bechdel test. Geralt, the game’s sole protagonist, is shown to be somewhat deformed from his augmentations, and yet almost every female character in the game is romantically interested in him, even including non humans. The female characters themselves are not very well developed either, and at no point do any women have a discussion not revolving around Geralt or his quest.
