Background: BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea is a two-part single-player expansion to the first game. It was developed by the same company that created both the base game released in 2013 as well as the two previous entries released in the 2000’s. Episode One was released digitally on November 12, 2013, followed by Episode Two on March 25, 2014.

Plot: Burial at Sea is set after the events of the previous game, with the same two main characters in a different reality. Whereas Infinite took place aboard a floating city, Burial at Sea primarily takes place in the original setting of the underwater city Rapture and is set before the events of the first BioShock games. Though Part 1 again puts the player in the role of Booker Dewitt, Part 2’s protagonist is Elizabeth, who was a supporting character in the previous games, and the game serves as the final installment of the series.

Bechdel Test: This game passes the Bechdel Test. Elizabeth is the main character, and though she primarily interacts with men she spends the game protecting a little girl named Sally. Elizabeth in this game is able to wield guns and use her supernatural powers, and ends up saving others as opposed to being the one in need of rescue.
