Week 32 and 33: Presentations

Categories Full Spectrum Learning Research

These past two weeks have been filled with projects and tasks for starting to wrap up the semester. With only two weeks of classes after Easter break, the end of my first year is almost over!

The main project of last week was preparing for the Undergraduate Research Forum. On Friday, I presented alongside the other three Research Fellows for ITS, Vickie Watkins, Ally Laidlaw, and Ruthie Tucker. We presented on Knight Domains and how we incorporate domains into our research along for our personal use. Here is the Google Slides Presentation from that event:

Earlier on Friday, I had the opportunity to present for the SyNC conference as well. This was a really great opportunity and practice for talking in front of people. I am getting more confident before presentations, especially when I am talking about my own domain.

This week, we started to interview the next wave of professors. So far, the three we are interviewing are Dr. Valerie Kretz, Katie Ries, and Dr. Mark Bockenhauer. The goal is to have their videos filmed and mostly edited by the time the semester is over.

I also updated the data grid that I have been working on with the new data from professors. I am not sure I love how it looks, but I don’t think it will look good or have the desired effect until we have much more data. With only eleven or twelve classes in mainly different intersections, it does not really make sense.

  1. Your presentations at SyNC and the Undergraduate Research Forum were AMAZING. You are doing great work with the data grid. It’s coming along!
