Showcase, Church, and Pumpkins, Oh My!
This past weekend was the first time that I went home (for more than a few hours). I left campus early Saturday morning and headed back Sunday afternoon.
Saturday
Saturday was a day of bittersweetness. After being picked up, I first went back to my old high school, Preble, to watch marching band showcase. It was definitely a weird feeling to not be on the field in a uniform. Every school did amazing and I was so happy to see my younger friends again! After the showcase, I headed to church. I surprised most of the choir and it felt amazing. I honestly miss all of them a lot and I was so excited to see them again. After church, I had to go to Culvers because I was craving their chicken tenders and concrete mixers! After that, I passed out at around 8 pm because I was so exhausted.
Sunday
On Sunday some of the girls from my floor adventured to my house to pick pumpkins. We had a great time and found a great interest in the mini gourds as well! I was super excited to have them over and for them to see my house. Next week we plan to paint the pumpkins and really get into the fall spirit!
I then headed back to campus to prepare for our (short) week of classes.
