Masculine qualities:
- aggressive
- “everyone leave, get out of here so I can watch the game, GO!”
- smashes everything in the house to try to get the kids attention since they refuse to help clean up the house, then blackmails them into cleaning
- not afraid to take risks
- jumps off a balcony onto a car
- when the kids sneak off to a party, she shows up and steps on a guy’s hand until he tells her where they are
- spanks Ben to punish him in front of everyone at the party
- leaves all the kids on the side of the road and takes there phone, making them walk home to teach them a lesson
Feminine qualities:
- sensitive- when she asked Ben to do her a favor (switch the input on the TV) he rudely refused and later she was acting distracted then said “I can’t stop thinking about Ben right now, he’s never talked to me like that before”
- Caring toward children- “I can’t afford to lose Ben, he’s all I got right now”
Mickey’s sex role portrayal in episode 9 is more stereotypical than other episodes, but still 50:50.
