Mickey finds out that Sabrina’s mom set money up for her to get breast implants as her 18th birthday present. Mickey suggests they take the fake boobs for a “test drive” and try them out for a day. Mickey loses one of the fake boobs when she’s running out of a restaurant and it gets run over by a car.
Masculine qualities:
- not afraid to take risks
- kills spider that Chip and Ben are screaming about
- creates a plan to dine and dash
- individualistic
- makes fun of the kids for being afraid of the spider
- when asked to make coffee she said “get your own coffee”, when asked about where the mugs are she said “They piled up in the sink. I found it irritating. Tossed ’em.
- “you two need to learn how to act like men” wants jimmy to do “guy stuff” with the boys to toughen them up
Feminine qualities:
- “let’s head to the city and grab some brunch like ladies do… get some mani-pedis”
- tries to talk Sabrina out of getting breast implants because of feminist reasons
Mickey’s sex role portrayal is not stereotypical because she is displayed as more masculine.
