This was a breakup episode that was hard for viewers as we can see the troubles Rory goes through with the breakup.

Feminine Traits:

  • Sensitive to others needs – even after her breakup she is still thinking about her mother and how she forgot her meatball
  • Cheerful – the next morning Rory is excited to have a full day of mom time in order to get stuff done
  • Gullible – her mom is trying to make Rory feel better by telling her she has a banana peel stuck to her foot, and she believes it
  • Eager to soothe hurt feelings – even after the breakup when a business owner will not serve Dean, Rory still asks if he is okay and wants to help him out
  • Emotional – while it is not often during this episode, it is clear that Rory is upset about the breakup and has hurt feelings
  • Feminine – gets dressed up for the party at her school post breakup
  • Sensitive to others needs – wanting to help out her friend at the party in getting her to dance with a boy
    • When one of her guy friends from school is upset at the party, she wants to spend time with him to help him feel better
  • Understanding – when her guy friend is trying to apologize she understands him and accepts the apology

Masculine Traits:

  • Makes decisions easily – after the breakup Rory is quick to get rid of everything Dean gave her
  • Independent – cant be by herself and do what she wants at the party

In general, there are some masculine traits that we’re shown. However, Rory is seen as more feminine when going through this breakup. She tried to make the best out of the situation but it came down to her needing her mom the most.
