In this episode, Schmidt continues to break stereotypes when he is seen in the kitchen which is more feminine. Typical shows and movies the women are always seen in the kitchen and doing the household chores. Schmidt is the only one who can cook, breaking stereotypes. He is being more “motherly.” The rest of the boys for Thanksgiving only want to watch football and drink beer and make fun of Schmidt for being in the kitchen and wanting to celebrate Thanksgiving. The boys are showing more “masculinity” traits whereas Schmidt is being more compassionate and showing function ranking.
