Examples of Masculine Personality Traits Exhibited by Macy Vaughn:

  • Analytical: Macy wants to figure out if there’s some way to counteract Galvin’s protective Yoruba mark when it comes to her and her “darkness,” as she believes that the mark may have caused him to get hurt in the car accident he had last episode when going to meet Macy for drinks. This leads her to try and avoid him when he visits their house on Christmas.
  • Strong personality: When Galvin attempts to kiss Macy under mistletoe at the manor, she is very awkward about it, illustrating how she still struggles with showing affection outwardly.
  • Leadership abilities/willing to take a stand: After being tied up and impersonated by Parker’s demon half-brother Hunter, she comes to in the shed outside, and uses her telekinesis to undo her bindings enough to call Harry for assistance. She then uses her powers to fight Hunter and get him out of their house. She also assists in sending Hunter (and Harry by accident) to Tartarus.

Examples of Feminine Personality Traits Exhibited by Macy Vaughn:

  • Sympathetic/eager to soothe hurt feelings: Macy feels bad for Galvin and his injury at the beginning of the episode, and at the end of the episode, she wants to distract her sisters from the reveal that Parker is a half-demon by suggesting gently that they open their Christmas presents.
  • Tender: Macy appreciates Harry getting her and her sisters Christmas presents, calling him “sweet.”

Conclusion: Macy is on the sidelines for most of this episode, after being incapacitated by Hunter, who has demonic shapeshifting abilities. However, it is interesting to note that after getting rid of Galvin’s mark to get into the house and keep an eye on Parker, Mel, Galvin and Harry are confused as to why “Macy” has suddenly taken on more feminine traits, being outwardly affectionate with Galvin by cuddling with him on the couch, and making sexual references, which ultimately leads to Hunter’s failure of his mission later on in the episode.
