This is an ad from Hollister for a man’s sweater. This is interesting to me because after looking at a lot of the men’s shirts it is interesting how not a lot of the models have faces. Their muscular arms and stance is enough to sell the sweater. Compared to the women’s ads all of the women’s shirts and other ads have faces. This relates to the sex role theory because he looks athletic, masculine, and independent because of his stance. Although we are not able to see his face, we can tell he looks confident and masculine because we can see facial hair, he is athletic because he has nice arms and independent because of how he carries himself.
