This is an advertisement from Abercrombie.com when I searched up men’s shirts. These men in the ads show what masculinity looks like because of how they carry themselves. The men show what the sex role theory looks like.The men in the pictures look assertive, athletic, muscular and very well put together. Those traits mentioned above are all that the society thinks a man should be and the pictures clearly represent that. None of the men are looking at the camera, in order to appear mysterious and “sexy”. None of the men are feminine, they all have broad shoulders, strong arms, nice face structures. They all pose in a way that makes their arms pop and look toned.
