Does it pass the Bechdel Test? No. Does not pass the first or second criteria. There are multiple women characters, however, only one has a name, and she does not speak with the other women. 

 

How Peggy Carter is Treated Throughout the Film:

 

  • She does have her fighting scenes, however, she is mostly there to act as a love interest for Steve Rodgers. 
  • When she walks into the bar in a dress instead of her uniform she is looked at by all the men who want to get with her. 
  • Steve is able to give her orders because he is now “Captain America” which is technically above her rank.
  • She is one of the only women soldiers, the rest of the women work in the background and she is the only one in the field.
