Weeks 1-3: Research on Full Spectrum Learning

Categories Full Spectrum Learning Research

My first three weeks working were mainly spent researching the background of Full Spectrum Learning and how it was created. The other main items I researched were the different pedagogical styles, interpersonal communication skills, video techniques, and the domain of one’s own.

Domain of One’s Own

One of my favorite opportunities to students at St. Norbert is the ability to have their own domain. Every student, no matter the major, has the ability to set up and manage their own domain and website. This site has many possibilities including a blog, to a hobby site, or a professional portfolio. Personally, my website right now is a personal blog about my experience with a subdomain for my tech bar experiences (aka here). The ability to create your own space online is a great experience to have, and I love the possibilities we have.  The main area of my site is my blog. I mainly like to blog about different experiences I have had while at St. Norbert, especially adventures with my floormates.

Future Plans

My task list is based on my goals I have set for my time here (they are listed on the about page).  I want to continue to explore WordPress and the different theme and custom options, especially in the mobile version. I am also going to continue to research different aspects of the background to Full Spectrum Learning and about the campus.
