\"\"<\/a>Happy birthday, Will! Today marks the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare\u2019s birth.* Happily, he was to make his St. Norbert College Magazine debut on an April-themed back cover. We captioned our \u00a0image of the Shakespeare Garden on campus (Spring 2013)\u00a0with these lines from Sonnet XCVIII:<\/p>\n

From you have I been absent in the spring, when proud pied April, dressed in all his trim, hath put a spirit of youth in every thing.<\/em><\/p>\n

Since we redesigned the back cover around a compelling image from campus, we have had a lot of fun finding lyrical quotes that capture the essence of the photo in question, be they birds (the hawks on the back of our current issue) or boat docks (Summer 2013). The right words seem to come quite readily to hand since we’ve given ourselves over to better pens than ours! This caption (below) had us stumped for a bit, but when we sought help from intern Rachel Gintner \u201915<\/strong> she went straight to Madeleine \u00a0L\u2019Engle:<\/p>\n

Suddenly there was a great burst of light through the Darkness. The light spread out and where it touched the Darkness, the Darkness\u00a0disappeared. The light spread … until there was only a gentle shining, and through the shining came the stars, clear and pure.<\/em><\/p>\n
