These stereotypes and counterstereotypes are societal norms that people expect of men and women. These norms are placed on us early at birth about how we should act with others. As well as the norms of being feminine or gentlemanly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Masculine Stereotypes\/ Counterstereotypes:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So don&#8217;t you wait up tonight \/ Don&#8217;t worry, I&#8217;ll be fine<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is a counterstereotype because typically men will wait up for the girl and make sure they are okay. Similar to them walking them home at night. And by saying don\u2019t wait up it is counterstereotypical to what men are expected to do in society.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Tryna be my sugar daddy, gettin&#8217; handsy in the stalls<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is a stereotype because typically men are sugar daddy\u2019s and they are willing to give out money to females.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Feminine Stereotypes\/ Counterstereotypes:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I got some money in my pocket, got some trouble on my tail\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is a counterstereotype because women are not supposed to have money in the sense they are not the money maker of the family, men are.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So bartender, take my keys \/ What do you want from me?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This lyric is stereotypical because women and men as bartenders flirt with each other as well as take those who are under the influence\u2019s keys so they cannot drive.
