This scene portrays him as being <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">dominant, assertive,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ambitious<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and shows that he <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">acts as a leader<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The main male character is portrayed as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">independent <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">self-reliant<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, as he is assumably a successful business man and is often out alone.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Resisting stereotypes<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When the female character tells him that bicycles are better than cars, the male character rides a children\u2019s bike around town. This action portrays him as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">yielding<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to the female character and also <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">childlike<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, on a too small bike that a little boy soon runs up to take back from him. The cheerful interaction with the little boy also shows a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">love for children <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">from the male character.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The male character is a bit <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">shy <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">soft-spoken<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> when with the female character.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The male character is <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">affectionate, tender, warm<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> cheerful<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> towards the female character.
