In this post I will be outlining the stereotypical gender roles given to us by the sex role perspective portrayed in the film by the main characters: Ronnie and Will.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ronnie:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I would argue that Ronnie\u2019s character in the beginning of the film defies typical female stereotypes that are given to us, but she later morphs into the more stereotypical girl.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the beginning\u2026\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">she uses a lot of harsh and foul language<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Is very cold to her family, her dad and brother especially\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She acts out by stealing\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hangs out with bad people<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On the other hand, in the beginning\u2026<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She is very caring of the turtles\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Gentle with them<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sensitive towards them<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Towards the end of the film..<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She is very passionate\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Gentle\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Caring\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Closer with her family\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Loyal\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Soft spoken\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Uses less harsh words and language\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Will<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Athletic\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Plays beach volleyball<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mascualine<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assertive\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With asking out ronnie and their whole relationship<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Willing to take risks\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Self reliant\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Does not rely on his family at all <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The media I will be analyzing is the film: The Last Song.
