I will be using The Sex-Role Perspective to examine what it means to be a woman according to women in a male-dominated genre. To best explore the Sex-Role Perspective, my analysis will consist of highlighting emotions that fall under stereotypically female and counter-stereotypical emotions pulled from Hyde (1995, p. 134).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Stereotypical emotions conveyed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI&#8217;m really scared,\u2005because\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">helplessness<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Contersterotypical emotions conveyed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWhy are you creeping up behind me?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Confrontational\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cDon&#8217;t look at me\u2005that\u2005way\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assertive\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Conclusion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This song looks into trying to understand someone\u2019s real intentions are and realizing that they are not who they said they were. Looking at someone and seeing that they are a \u201cmonster\u201d is an underlying theme in unhealthy relationships.
