This song is the story of a country girl coming to New York City, and everyone can tell that she is not from there and everyone wants her. She chooses him, and he is now in love or obsessed with her because she is not a city girl, but his kind of girl. The way he sings about her kind of portrays that she is confident and knows exactly what she wants. She doesn\u2019t hold back or put up an act. Using the Sex-Role Theory we can see how she presents both femininity and masculinity traits.<\/p>\n Affectionate <\/em><\/p>\n \u201cLong stem legs in your cowboy boots\u201d He is being affectionate towards her. This line could be taken differently by everyone. One may look at this line and say that they are sexually using this and sexualizing her for her legs or that she is asking for attention because of how she is dressed. The fact that it is mentioned about her beauty so of course there must be a million guys back home that want to be with her. <\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThrowing back whiskey straight, no water; Girl there ain\u2019t nothing hotter\u201d This can be seen as stereotyping. <\/strong>\u00a0Going also off feminine trait, just the fact that because she can shoot whiskey straight it’s hot. This is stereotyping that girls\/women can\u2019t shot back a whiskey or it is not normal for us. Why is that?
